World Slasher Cup: Four entries show way (Sabong News)
MANILA, Philippines — Four participants inched closer to winning the 2019 World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby championship after tallying 5-0 (win -loss) cards each last Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Elmer Stoka of Guam, Jomel Gatlabayan and RGBA Friends, A. Bernos of Abra and the entry CPB & Cris have identical five wins going to the 4-cock grand finals on Feb. 6.
The third and last semifinal round fires off today and sabong fans can expect world class encounters from start to finish plus a chance to win a 32” inch LED TV from Powertrac’s raffle promo.
Tough fights are seen in today’s semis backed by Thunderbird, Emperador, Powertrac, Pitgames Media, the Journal Group, Saksi Ngayon, Diaryo Bomba and “Sabong Pilipinas” on ABS-CBN Sports + Action.
Spearheaded by the Pintakasi of Champions, the nine-day WSC 1 got valuable support from Pitgames Media CEO Manny Berbano, who also hosts “Tukaan” on TV5 every Sunday, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Aiming for a perfect 5-0 (win-loss) card today are Nathan Jumper of Missisippi and partner Celso Evangelista of LGBA (two entries), Nene Araneta, Biboy Enriquez, Kano Raya, Boy Guinto, Cris Aguas, Rodolfo Pineda, Emil Tiu, Raffy Zaide, Choi Ampil, Santi Sierra, Magno Lim, Ruben Tan and the group of Felix, RC and Eddie Gatchalian.
The three-day finals start tomorrow.
The schedules: Feb. 3 and 4 (4 -cock finals for entries with 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 points) and Feb. 6 (4 -cock grand finals for entries with 4, 4.5 and 5 points). Audiences may get their tickets at the Ticketnet Booth, Yellow Gate, Coliseum Circle.
