120 thousand email credential leak available online (Sabong News)

It’s been a while since my last article was published. I will share this latest article with you related to an email credential leak. I hope this can give you information to check your email and your company risk to identify possible breach-related incidents.
Today, I discovered a massive email credential leak that is publicly available that contains 120,000 personal and corporate email credentials. The list of the leaked email credentials is posted on the Anonfiles website. The website provides an online service where users can upload anonymous files, and it can also hide the IP address to provide anonymity to its user.
Upon checking the uploaded document out of curiosity, I checked for any government-related emails and discovered NGCP emails.
Since NGCP is one of the critical infrastructures in our country, I did some additional research as the email is already exposed in public. I checked the black market if any related products or items were available connected to NGCP. I discovered a for sale account linked to the domain
and it was posted in a Russian market underground, last seen posted on 05/05/2022. The credential was obtained using a well-known malware available on the underground market and forums.
The seller is selling the login and password account for $10.00 only. I also discovered a leaked email credential related to one of the PH universities.
I can’t confirm if the email is valid since, based on the email, it’s different from a regular email format. I suspect the email format is Year and Student Number, which I can’t verify as of this writing.
