Razon sparks late run as Perpetual eliminates Arellano (Sabong News)

Jielo Razon sparked a huge fourth quarter flurry as Perpetual Help sent Arellano packing with a 59-52 victory to advance to the second phase of the play-in round in the NCAA Season 97 at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Sunday, May 1.
Razon joined hands with Mark Omega as the Altas embarked to a 12-3 blast in the payoff period to extend their season to a match against College of St. Benilde on Wednesday and with a spot in the Final Four is at stake.
With Perpetual trailing by one early in the final frame, Razon scored on a back-to-back layup before issuing a nice feed to Omega inside the paint, triggering the telling run.
Omega scored on another layup before Aurin scored seven-straight points including a booming triple and a layup that gave Perpetual a 59-48 advantage with 1:24 left in the game.
Aurin showed up anew for Perpetual, unloading 16 points and five rebounds while Razon and Lean Martel added 10 markers apiece.
Jordan Sta. Ana paced the Chiefs with 12 points while Justin Arana had a quiet nine markers as his final season in the NCAA came to an abrupt end.
