Kamura Highlands Gaming and Holdings, Inc., the newest electronic sabong licensee of the Philippine Amusements and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) was given a green light to immediately start its games.During its meeting on April 6, the PAGCOR’s Board of Directors approved the issuance of the Notice to Commence E-sabong operations, formally informing Kamura Highlands Gaming “to commence operations” at its government regulations-compliant 3-hectare Capas, Tarlac sports complex.PAGCOR approved Kamura Gaming’s electronic platform and evaluated its systems December last year after being welcomed in the electronic cockfighting industry mid-November on that same year as the 8th licensee into the e-sabong industry.Young businessman Jewel Castro, representing Kamura Gaming, was told by PAGCOR to start operating on May 1, also the reconning date of the government gaming body for Castro’s private gaming firm’s financial obligations to the government. PAGCOR though warned Kamura Gaming it will constantly monitor the firm’s games to follow the regulatory framework of e-sabong operations.Castro vowed strict compliance with set regulations by PAGCOR and the Capas, Tarlac local government which earlier also sanctioned Kamura Gaming’s sports arena in the area.
