Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday, April 20, challenged Vice President Leni Robredo, herself, to deny that she did not make any attempts to make him or the other presidential bets withdraw from the presidential race.
“I challenge the Honorable Vice President Leni Robredo. I-deny nyo na hindi ninyo kami pina-aatras. Na hindi ninyo pina-atras si (that you did not ask him to back out) [former national security adviser] Norberto Gonzales. Hindi ninyo pina-atras (that you did not ask him to back out) si Senator Ping (Lacson),” Domagoso said in an interview with reporters.
“Again, ‘wag na kayo mag speculate, ‘wag na kayo mag spin. Diretsahan. Madam Vice President Leni Robredo, totoo ba? Totoo ba? Kasi nagpa-fact check, fact check pa. Eh, alam naman natin sino ‘yung nagsasabing withdraw (Again, don’t speculate, don’t spin it. Straightforward. Madam Vice President Leni Robredo, is that true? Is it true? Because there’s even a fact check. We know who asked us to withdraw),” he said.
Domagoso also called Robredo as “BBS” or “Bilib na Bilib sa Sarili” and the “godmother of bully”.
“When you allow a bully, you’re also the biggest bully. You’re the godfather of bully. In this case, godmother. Hindi tayo pwede mag sugarcoat. Hindi matamis ang buhay ng tao, napakapait ang buhay ng tao ngayon (We can’t sugarcoat. Human life is not sweet, human life is very hard today),” he added.
“Ang tanong ko, bakit kayo lang ba ang may karapatang tumakbo? Kayo lang ba ang may karapatang maging kandidato sa pagka-pangulo? Kayo lang ba ang magaling? E kasi puro BBS eh – bilib na bilib sa sarili (My question is, are you the only ones who has the right to run? Are you the only one who has the right to be a presidential candidate? Are you the only one who is good? E kasi puro BBS eh – bilib na bilib sa sarili (too full of herself),” he added.
In a joint press conference on Sunday, April 17, Domagoso had asked Robredo to “make the supreme sacrifice” and “withdraw” from the presidential race.
Three other presidential candidates — Sen. Panfilo Lacson, former defense secretary Norberto Gonzalez, and Sen. Manny Pacquiao — attended the said conference and vowed that they will push through with their respective candidacies and campaigns until election day.
Domagoso on Monday, April 18, also said that the criticisms he got for his call on Robredo to withdraw from the presidential race is an example of “social injustice.”
