Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso led the distribution of assistance to the fire victims in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Monday, April 4.
“Alam ko po na hindi biro ang inyong pinagdadaanan na pagsubok ngayon, pero kapit lang po tayo (The struggle you’re all going through is no joke, but I ask you to hold on),” Domagoso said during the distribution of assistance.
He also assured the 157 families affected by the inferno that the city government of Manila will continuously support them toward recovery.
“Mayroon po kayong gobyernong masasandalan dito sa Maynila (You have a government that you can rely on in Manila),” the incumbent Manila mayor said.
“Basta pipilitin naming kayo ay maitawid sa krisis na ito. Makakaraos din tayo (We will try our best to get you through this crisis. We can get out of this situation),” he added.
Domagoso was joined by Manila mayoral candidate Ma. Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan and vice mayoral candidate John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Manila reported that the blaze razed the houses on Antipolo Street and Leonor Rivera Street in Sta. Cruz on Sunday, April 3.
