Volunteers of Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso officially launched the “Bus ni Isko” campaign caravan on Monday, April 4.
“Bus ni Isko” is a 20-day road campaign initiative where youth volunteers will travel across the country’s region to convince young Filipino voters to shift votes to Domagoso.
“We believe in Isko Domagoso’s platform of government. He has the track record of turning Manila into a vibrant city once more,” Jon Pennington, of Isko Tayo Kabataan (ITK), said in a statement.
The group also backed Domagoso’s vow to run after the P203-billion estate tax debt of the Marcos family.
“We believe that a good Filipino should pay taxes. Even the poor pay taxes, so why not collect taxes from the rich like anybody else?” Pennington said.
The first “Bus ni Isko” will tour around Luzon while the second bus will travel across the islands of Visayas and Mindanao.
The campaign initiative also aims to convince the younger generation to be more proactive and play important roles in society.
