DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur–The distance from here to Marawi City is 285.2 kilometers–a distance that presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos gladly covered as he moved between campaign sorties in Mindanao.
Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte led a UniTeam
at Barangay Tres de Mayo here that ended past 9 p.m. By 12 noon Thursday, March 31, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer was already in Marawi to lead a similar activity.
“Lahat mahalaga sa akin. Bawat boto mahalaga sa akin (Everything is important to me. Every vote is important to me),” Marcos told reporters who asked him in a chance interview what his visit to the Lanao del Sur capital meant.
During the Marawi event, the Palace aspirant from the administration ticket received the explicit support of the local Team Adiong alliance led by Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr.
“Kami ay nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng leadership ng probinsya ng Lanao del Sur, at sa (…) nagpahayag ng suporta (We thank the entire leadership in the province of Lanao del Sur, to everybody that has expressed their support),” Marcos said.
“Talagang nakikita na natin na dumadami at nagsasanib pwersa na talaga, all the forces of unity (We can really see that all the forces of unity are growing in number and coalescing),” added the former senator.
Marcos is scheduled to attend another sortie in Bukidnon–109.6 kilometers away from Marawi–early Thursday evening.
The UniTeam ticket was in Carmen, Davao del Norte for a rally on Wednesday morning.
