‘Reply 1988’ star Lee Dong-hwi in PH (Sabong News)

Korean actor Lee Dong-hwi, who starred in the hit Korean drama “Reply 1988,” is in the Philippines. The 36-year-old actor, the boyfriend of “Squid Game” star Jung Ho-yeon, has posted photos on Instagram about the places he visited in Metro Manila. Based on his posts, Lee Dong-hwi has been in different places including Greenbelt, Rockwell and Bonifacio Global City. “Love [Philippines],” he wrote on March 27 posting the Philippine flag icon on Instagram. Last March 20, Lee Dong-hwi posted photos of himself at Incheon International Airport with the caption “going to work.” He also posted a photo of his golf travel bag. The Philippines is a popular destination for Korean golf players especially during the winter season in Korea. Pinoy netizens welcomed Lee Dong-hwi. “Enjoy your stay here,” “Its hot in manila now, enjoy your stay” and “Enjoy your stay here in the Philippines oppa” are some of the comments on his Instagram account. Lee Dong-hwi and Jung Ho-yeon have been in a relationship since 2016. The Inter-Agency Task Force has relaxed rules for foreigners coming to the Philippines for business and leisure purposes with the decrease in the number of daily Covid-19 cases. In Resolution 164-A dated March 10, the IATF said foreigners coming to the Philippines may enter the country without visas provided they are: 1. Are a citizen/national of the following countries entitled to a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days1 (Executive Order 408, S. 1960, as amended) or are holders of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or Macau SAR passports entitled to stay for a period not exceeding fourteen (14) days; 2. Are fully vaccinated except only for minor children below twelve (12) years of age traveling with their fully-vaccinated foreign parent/s; 3. Carry/possess an acceptable proof of vaccination; 4. Present a negative RT-PCR test taken within forty-eight (48) hours, or a negative laboratory based Antigen Test taken within twenty-four (24) hours, prior to the date and time of departure from the country of origin/first port of embarkation in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding lay-overs; provided, that, he/she has not left the airport premises or has not been admitted into another country during such lay-over; 5. Have passports valid for a period of at least six (6) months at the time of their arrival to the Philippines; 6. Obtain, prior to arrival, a travel insurance for COVID-19 treatment costs from reputed insurers, with a minimum coverage of USD 35,000.00 for the duration of their stay in the Philippines. The IATF has further relaxed entry rules for foreigners starting April 1.
