Tamiya expands in Cebu with P1.5 B (Sabong News)

Tamiya (Philippines), Inc. is investing P1.5 billion to expand its plastic mold fabrication manufacturing operation in the country.
The Japanese firm broke ground for a new factory building on March 18. It will expand its production output by 5 percent annually for the first three years and 20 percent incremental after, depending on demand. .
Tamiya is engaged in the manufacture of various types of plastic models and similar products, mold fabrication and related services, printed materials, and provision of other printing services at Cebu Light Industrial Park – Special Economic Zone (CLIP-SEZ) under the Philippine Economic Zone Authority. The Cebu facility was established in September 1994.
The company’s annual export is is $23.241 million. Japan accounts for the bulk of its exports at 65 percent share followed by USA, Germany, United Kingdom, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
