After the success of albums “Folklore” and “Evermore,” Swifties can look forward to a new song from pop star Taylor Swift as she debuts her upcoming track through the trailer of “Where the Crawdads Sing.”
Through a post, the 32-year-old singer-songwriter confirms that she is lending her new material dubbed “Carolina” for the film adaptation of the 2018 novel. In the haunting trailer, fans can hear her sing the lyrics: “You didn’t see me here / But they never did see me here / There are places I would never, never go / Things that only Carolina will ever know.”
“‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ is a book I got absolutely lost in when I read it years ago. As soon as I heard there was a film in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon (Reese Witherspoon), I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side.”
“Carolina” is written by Taylor and produced by Aaron Dessner, whom she had collaborated with her album mentioned above. According to her, she “wanted to create something haunting and ethereal to match this mesmerizing story” and promised Swifties will her the full track soon.
