Karltzy scores savage as ECHO blows past Omega to regain MPL top spot (Sabong News)

Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno scored the second savage of the MPL Philippines Season 9 to cap ECHO’s 2-0 romp of Omega Esports and get back on the winning track on Sunday, March 20.
After suffering its first sweep loss at the hands of the cellar dwellers Bren Esports on Saturday, the powerhouse ECHO squad came alive and vented its ire on Omega to regain the top spot of the standings with a 7-2 record and 21 points under its belt.
ECHO steamrolled to a dominant 24-6 victory in Game 2 as Karltzy ran wild on the Lancelot with a monster 13-1-9 KDA including the savage which he executed during the final clash of the series clinching game.
It actually looked like Omega will be able to successfully defend its base during that siege after it took down two heroes on the side of ECHO. Karltzy, however, had other plans in mind as he dashed his way through Omega heroes and hunt them down one-by-one for a wipeout and eventually the series win.
Fredimar “3martzy” Serafico provided support with a 5-2-8 line on the Yu Zhong including the triple kill just before the final clash. Yawi who also starred in the first game finished with uber-efficient numbers of 1-0-16 to dictate the pace for ECHO.
ECHO scored the first point of the series after prevailing in the nerve-wracking Game 1 where the two teams went back-and-forth in the grueling 28-minutes series opener.
The league leaders went back to what it does best, dictating the tempo with its non-stop aggression courtesy of the initiations from Yawi’s Tank Chou which forced Omega to awkward positions and team fights.
Omega refused to go down without a fight as a pick-off on Karltzy’s Aulus and Kurttzy’s Pharsa allowed the last season’s runner-up to secure the 22-minute Luminous Lord.
However, ECHO successfully defended its base as Yawi managed to isolate and pick-off Kelra’s Kimmy to stop the Lord push.
YAwi repeated the same play, this time with Luminous Lord on their side and with Omega defending. He once again caught Kelra’s Kimmy which allowed ECHO to draw the series’ first blood after the 19-14 win.
Karltzy anchored the attack in the opener with a 6-2-4 KDA while Kurttzy dished out the damage from afar with his Pharsa to finish with a 6-3-8 score line.
