Most parts of the country will continue to experience warm and humid conditions because of the prevalence of the easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, March 20.
Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions may prevail over the country, except for Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
In its extended weather outlook for key areas from March 21 to 24, PAGASA said that maximum air temperatures may reach 33 degrees Celsius (℃) in Metro Manila, 32-33℃ in Tuguegarao City, 24-25℃ in Baguio City, 31℃ in Tagaytay City, 31-33℃ in Puerto Princesa City, 31-32℃ in Metro Cebu, 32-33℃ in Metro Davao, and 31-33℃ in Zamboanga City.
However, isolated thunderstorms are still likely to occur in the afternoon or evening.
Severe thunderstorms are often associated with bursts of heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds that usually last up to two hours.
PAGASA advised the public to stay vigilant as severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeasterly surface wind flow or slight breeze coming from the northeast of the country.
