Onic Philippines captain Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy came to the defense of Nexplay Evos jungler John Paul “H2wo” Salonga after the latter got criticized once again following NXPE’s 2-0 loss to the RSG Philippines on Saturday, March 19.
H2wo took to Twitter to express his disappointment after failing to make an impact in the Game 1 of NXPE’s match where he was limited to just a 2-3-2 KDA and was visibly outplayed by his RSG counterpart Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto who had a stellar 6-2-8 line on the Lancelot
“Yoko na,” H2wo wrote moments after the loss to which Baloyskie commented on saying, “Malakas ka @h2wooff1cial wag mo pansinin yung mga walang alam sa ml.”
H2wo never had the chance to redeem himself after the series as he was pulled out of the lineup in exchange of rising rookie Michael “MP the King” Endino in Game 2.
NXPE lost the match after RSG dominated the series clinching game, 18-6. The team bashers and fans alike were quick to pin the blame on H2wo criticizing the star jungler for subpar performances not just in the match but also in their past few games.
Baloyskie then continued to defend his former teammate and clapped back to H2wo’s bashers.
“Bakit sa MPL mas highlight yung sisi sa team na natalo kesa sa magandang ginawa ng kalaban? Puro kayo sisi kay h2 hindi naman siya yung nagpatalo,” Baloyskie stressed.
Meanwhile, NXPE head coach John Michael “Zico” Dizon clarified that it was not H2wo’s performance which led to the change in lineup in the middle of the series. Zico explained that it was S4gitnu who was supposed to be subbed out of the team since the team was lacking of a shot-caller.
Since Ureshii was not with the team in the MPL venue, Zico opted to insert MP the King to the lineup instead.
“Di naman talaga dapat si H2 yung papalitan dun, dapat talaga si S4git, kaso nga lang di namin dala si Ureshii eh kasi ang naging kulang sa kanila is yung shot call,” Zico explained.
