Months have passed since “Emily in Paris” season 2 premiered on Netflix and yet we are still dreaming of Emily Cooper’s adventures—and looks, of course—in the beautiful Saint-Tropez in France. Who would want to have a getaway in one of France’s top tourist spots, getting drenched with champagne, and boarding a luxury yacht? That’s the dream travel experience. Lucky for us, we can still bring a sense of French style in our local travels through Longchamp’s latest spring-summer offering.
For the season, the luxury brand is bringing a piece of France to the Philippines through its vibrant line of bags fit for any kind of tropical destination. “The spring-summer collection of Longchamp is heavily inspired by the French way of living, and at the same time, it is inspired by the Provence region in France,” Barbara Arespacochaga, merchandise manager of Longchamp, tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “Basically, it is all about the lavender fields, the sunny countryside, and more.”
A must-have from the collection is the reimagined version of the brand’s iconic Le Pliage. Together with Charvet, purveyor of the finest French linen tea towels since 1866, Longchamp crafted the Le Pliage Torchon, a white linen tote bag with a vertical red and blue stripe, a versatile piece that can match a myriad of summertime looks.
Also part of the spring-summer 2022 collection is the Saint-Tropez bag bearing the label’s insignia, as well as the Cuir de Russie bucket bag that comes in charming shades of yellow, coral, green, and blue, and the classic Roseau Croco bag with the brand’s iconic bamboo clasp.
As the brand said, this collection is a celebration of French
. Through its elegance and artisanal designs, this line is an invitation to go out and feel the spirit of summer in style, whether you’re in Paris, Provence, or in an exotic destination in the Philippines.
