Doc Willie assures Mayor Isko in 'good health’ after suffering chest pains in Sorsogon (Sabong News)

Vice presidential bet Dr. Willie Ong assured that Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso remains in good health despite experiencing chest pains on early Monday, March 14, during their campaign sortie in Sorsogon province.
“Ngayong umaga, sabi ni Mayor Isko sa akin, ‘Dok, sumasakit ang puso ko.’ Sabi ko, sige, ituro mo nga sa isang daliri kung saan masakit. Si Isko itinuro ang kaliwang dibdib at ribs niya. Tinanong ko siya, ilang minuto o oras na yan sumasakit? Sabi niya ay ‘buong umaga na, more than 1-hour na (This morning, Mayor Isko said to me,‘ Doc, my heart hurts. ’I said, go ahead, point a finger where it hurts. Isko pointed to his left chest and ribs. I asked him, how many minutes or hours does that hurt? He said it was ‘all morning, more than one hour’),” Ong said in a Facebook post.
The cardiologist assured that what Domagoso felt had nothing to do with heart disease or heart ailment.
“Ang blood pressure ayon kay Doc Liza [Ong] ay 110/80 mmhg. Heart rate ay 88. Ayos naman ang pakinig ko sa puso niya. Ang sabi ko ay balewala yan, sa buto lang ang sakit dahil sa pagod. Ang diagnosis ko ay costochondritis. Hindi yan sakit sa puso (His blood pressure, according to Doc Liza, is 110/80 mmhg. Heart rate is 88. I can hear his heart well. I said it didn’t matter, the pain was only in the bones due to fatigue. My diagnosis is costochondritis. It’s not a heart disease),” Ong said.
“Okay naman si Mayor Isko, mukhang sa buto lang ang sakit. Pero marami ang nababahala sa ganyang sakit (Mayor Isko is okay, it looks like the pain is only in the bone. But many are concerned about such a disease),” he assured.
Costochondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone.
Ong assured that Domagoso remains in good health amid his hectic schedule for his campaign sorties.
Domagoso and the Aksyon Demokratiko slate are currently in Sorsogon as part of their campaign sorties.
