TXT, Brave Girls members test positive for Covid-19; Korea tallies 383,665 cases in 1 day (Sabong News)

Amid the continuing surge in Covid-19 cases in South Korea, two more K-pop stars have tested positive for the virus.
K-pop boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Soobin, 21, and girl group Brave Girls’ Minyoung, 31, have been diagnosed with Covid-19 on March 12.
“Soobin had cold symptoms and was tested positive on a rapid antigen test he took on Thursday, March 10. He promptly took a PCR [polymerase chain reaction] test on Friday, March 11 and was confirmed with Covid-19 on the morning of Saturday, March 12,” said Big Hit Music.
The agency added, “Soobin is experiencing symptoms including a cough and a sore throat. He has been under self-quarantine, away from the other members, since the rapid antigen test and is undergoing treatment at home.”
“Other than Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai were tested negative on a PCR test they took as a proactive measure on Friday, March 11. Regardless of the test results, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai, as well as Yeonjun who has made a full recovery from Covid-19, they will all thoroughly comply with personal hygiene and health guidelines and closely monitor their own health since there was contact among the members,” it said
Yeonjun tested positive for Covid-19 on Feb. 17 and recovered on Feb. 23, or in seven days based on the isolation period imposed by health authorities.
On the other hand, Brave Girls member Minyoung tested positive for Covid-19 on March 12.
“Brave Girls member Minyoung was confirmed with Covid-19 today [March12], and Yujeong and Eunji tested positive for the rapid antigen test,” said Brave Entertainment.
It said Minyoung is fully vaccinated but the preemptive test using a self-test kit on March 11 showed a positive result so she proceeded to undergo a PCR test. Yuna’s self-test kit result is negative.
Lee Saerom and Jang Gyuri have fully recovered from Covid-19 on March 12.
At least 206 Korean stars, mostly K-pop idols, have tested positive for Covid-19 since Jan. 19.
On March 12, South Korea recorded 383,665 new Covid-19 cases amid the surge in Omicron variant cases to bring the total confirmed cases to 6.2 million.
