No increase in Covid-19 cases under Alert Level 1—DOH (Sabong News)

The Department of Health (DOH) said it has not observed an increase in Covid-19 cases after 39 areas, including Metro Manila, were shifted to Alert Level 1 status.
“At present, we have not seen any increase in COVID-19 cases since we have implemented Alert Level 1 in several areas in the country,” the DOH said in a statement.
The government’s pandemic task force approved placing Metro Manila and 38 other areas under Alert Level on March 1 amid the decreasing trend of Covid-19 cases.
Under Alert Level 1, the DOH said an “increase in the mobility of people has been expected given that employers have implemented 100 percent workforce capacity, and establishments can now operate in their full capacities as well.”
The DOH assured the public that it will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation.
“The government strictly monitors the mobility of the public with incessant reminders on adherence to minimum public health standards as well as the national vaccination drive for those eligible to get inoculated,” it said.
