Several individuals lost their belongings after attending the campaign rally of aspiring president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte in Bulacan.
After Marcos Jr. and Duterte’s UniTeam alliance ended their rally in Sta. Maria town late afternoon on Tuesday, March 8, the victims rushed on stage to appeal to the remaining attendees to return their lost valuables, which include a cellphone and a wallet.
A man who lost his phone even offered a cash reward just to get his precious gadget back.
“Parang awa niyo na po. Paki-saulit na lang po, babayaran ko (Please return it to me. I’ll pay you),” the man told the crowd.
Meanwhile, a woman, who appeared to be an overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), also pleaded to the crowd to help her get her wallet back.
She said she doesn’t mind not getting her money back. What’s important, the woman said, was for her to recover her OFW identification card.
It was not clear if the missing items were stolen or lost during the rally.
Apparently, the crowd that gathered in Sta. Maria was bigger than the ones that showed up in the towns of Meycauayan and Guiguinto in Bulacan earlier that day.
The alleged victims of theft reportedly appealed for several minutes.
Taking pity at the victims, the host of the event called on the remaining attendees to return the missing items that might have fallen on the ground.
