Last January, Japanese retail company Muji unveiled its first-ever kitchen service called “Muji Kitchen” in Higashi Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Being a trusted source for everyday items, from houseware and electronics to furniture, it was a natural step for the company to open this kind of food outlet.
Dubbed as a “small community-based store,” Muji Kitchen is a hotspot for food and other kitchen essentials “where people can buy what they need within walking distance.”
“By introducing shops rooted in the area around Ikebukuro and selling representative products of the shop, Muji aims to be a convenient and familiar shop for people working and living in the area,” the company said through a post. Images of the kitchen service presented the warm wooden interior of the store and some of the meals and treats that are beautifully showcased in a glass display case.
After the photos were released on Muji Philippines’ social media pages. Pinoys can’t help but also wish for one to be established here in the country. While Muji Kitchen is not yet here, the brand promised to keep its followers updated once there is an official plan.
We are definitely looking forward to this.
