Four highly-urbanized cities (HUCs) in Luzon are currently at “very low risk” status for Covid-19, the independent research group OCTA said on Monday, March 7.
Based on the update shared by OCTA fellow Dr. Guido David on Twitter, the cities of Angeles, Dagupan, Lucena, and Olongapo have improved to “very low risk,” while Baguio City, Naga City, and Santiago City remain at “low risk” status for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, David said that Puerto Princesa City remained at “moderate risk” due to a “very high” testing positivity rate at 38 percent.
OCTA uses the internationally-developed Covid Act Now metrics to determine the risk levels of specific areas.
David advised the public to continue to observe minimum public health protocols–the proper wearing of face masks, physical distancing, and washing of hands regularly–to further slow down the spread of the virus in their respective regions.
