Alba warns Central Visayas cops vs involvement in online sabong operation (Latest Sabong News)

The Police Regional Office 7 warned its personnel to refrain from engaging in any guerrilla operation of online cockfighting (e-sabong) amid the ongoing crackdown following an order early this year to stop all online sabong operations.
PRO7 director Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba tasked all police commanders to initiate investigation against any of its men who would be involved in its operation.
“There should be no stone left unturned. We should impose discipline among our personnel. We want them to realize how serious we are in our campaign against e-sabong,” said Alba.
“The more that we tolerate this, the more that illegal operators will become more confident,” he added.
Early this month, almost 300 people were arrested in a six-day operation against the guerrilla operations of online sabong.
Over P156,000 worth of bets were also confiscated.
“Aside from the one-strike policy, we should also monitor those possible police personnel who are engaged or involved in this illegal activity. They will face the consequences once they are caught committing the misdeed,” said Alba.
