DILG wants 7 e-sabong operators probed (Latest Sabong News)

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has asked law enforcement agencies to probe at least seven illegal e-sabong operators that defied President Duterte’s ban on online cockfight.
DILG spokesman Jonathan Malaya said they have identified seven websites, which are streaming illegal cockfight games.
The DILG ordered the Philippine National Police, particularly the Directorate for Operations and Anti-Cybercrime Group, to lead the investigation.
Malaya said they also asked the National Bureau of Investigation Anti-Cyber Crime Division to probe illegal e-sabong operators.
“We have photos showing that these websites are streaming illegal cockfight online,” he said.
Malaya noted that these websites were never issued franchises by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) and started operating after President Duterte issued the ban.
